Privacy Policy

How we collect, use and protect your information.

Effective October 22, 2026

Last updated October 22, 2026

Draft — not yet in effect. This is a placeholder for the Bougie League website. The final privacy policy, covering this site and the Bougie League registration service, is being prepared with counsel and will replace this text before launch.

Bougie League is a division of Backyard Bougie, Inc. (“we”, “our” or “us”). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit https://bougieleague.com (the “Site”), how we use it and the choices you have. It covers this marketing site only; registration pages run by clubs on Bougie League will be covered by their own terms and policy.

Information we collect

  • Information you give us, such as your name, email address, club name and the content of any message you send us.
  • Technical information your browser sends to any website, such as pages visited, browser type and a general location derived from your IP address. This Site runs no advertising pixels. If you allow analytics (see “Cookies and analytics” below), we also collect aggregate information about pages visited and how the Site is used.

How we use it

We use your information to answer your messages, set up early access for your club, improve the Site and meet our legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing

We share information only with service providers who help us run the Site and our business, under contract, and when the law requires it. These include our hosting provider and, only with your consent, Google, which processes analytics data for us as our analytics provider.

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies. The ones the Site needs to work, including the record of your choice about the others, are always on.

  • Google Analytics 4, loaded through Google Tag Manager, measures aggregate traffic patterns, page performance and content engagement. It is optional and runs only if you accept it. Configured with IP anonymization and standard retention (currently 14 months).

The first time you visit, a small notice asks you to accept or decline analytics. We use Klaro!, an open-source, self-hosted consent manager that does not itself collect data about your choices. You can change your selection any time with the Your Privacy Choices link in the footer of every page. You can also clear and block cookies through your browser settings, or use a browser that supports Global Privacy Control. Declining analytics does not limit your use of the Site.

Your privacy choices

You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or opt out of marketing messages at any time by writing to info@thebackyardbougie.com. California residents have the rights described in the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, and may use the same address to exercise them. We honor Global Privacy Control signals.

Children

This Site is for club volunteers and parents, not for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13 through it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page.
